Director of Direct Marketing
Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Direct Marketing to develop strategic customer journeys and engaging direct communication programs.
To rock this role, the ideal candidate will use their extensive knowledge of creative communications to build highly personalized and dynamic customer experiences through direct channels.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead execution of our CRM strategy across email, site/app, and push, including segmentation and all life cycle programming.
  • Oversee development of key communications strategies and a tactical communications calendar to achieve the business objectives of core products.
  • Continuously optimize timing, frequency, cadence, and type of communication at the individual customer level to deliver strong channel performance and robust business results.
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams on seamless data integration and smart platform building to enable dynamic personalization and campaign automation.
  • Create a strong A/B test practice around our contact strategy and recommend and help champion new analytics, models, and research to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Be the champion and expert on our customer communications. Work closely with the analytics, content, product management, customer service, and marketing teams to understand customer behaviors, needs, and preferences, and share actionable insights.
  • Stay well ahead of digital and consumer trends and contribute new innovative, breakthrough ideas towards the growth of the company.
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years in Direct/Relationship Marketing strategy, communications, and execution, with deep experience within an eCommerce driven company required
  • An insatiable interest in technology.
  • Outstanding results orientation with a consistent track record in driving business impact
  • Strong ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights about the customer, the channel, and the business.
  • Experience with major CRM platforms is required. A Strong technical familiarity of marketing platforms and experience with back end technologies and reporting infrastructures.

Education:
  • BS/BA degree in marketing (or related field) from an accredited college or university.
